Sweden · 7-day starter route

A slower week in southern Sweden with kids.

This is a framework, not a race. It assumes you enter southern Sweden and want one major story-world day, beach/campsite recovery time and only a few base changes.

Days 1–2 · Skåne / Halland

Start with Skånes Djurpark if it fits your arrival direction, then move toward the west coast. A second night near Tylösand gives children beach and playground time instead of another attraction.

Days 3–5 · Vimmerby and Småland

Move to Vimmerby and stay two or three nights. Use one full day for Astrid Lindgren’s World. Choose the pitches at the park for maximum convenience, or Vimmerby Camping if you want a lake, playgrounds and a stronger “camping day” between attractions.

Days 6–7 · One final anchor

Choose direction, not ambition. Heading west or toward Norway? Daftö Resort can work as a high-facility final base. Staying in southern Sweden? High Chaparral is an easier add-on. Save Leksand Resort for a longer trip unless it genuinely fits your onward route.

Family rule: if a transfer day already feels long on the map, do not attach a major attraction to the same day. Arrival + playground + dinner can be enough.
