A playground is not a decorative checkbox when you travel by camper with children. It can turn arrival time, dinner prep and a wet-weather afternoon from hard work into the easiest part of the day.

Seasonality matters. Pools, kids clubs, restaurants and organised activities may operate only during part of the summer. We show them because they matter, but always check your exact dates before choosing a campground because of one facility.
What parents should check beyond “playground: yes”
- Can you see the play area from common pitch zones?
- Is there something usable for a 2-year-old as well as a 10-year-old?
- Is there an indoor option?
- Are family bathrooms actually available?
- Is the beach shallow or quickly deep?
- Can the family spend a full day without moving the camper?
